DAY 1 – MON, APR 14, 2025: EDINBURGH

The Adventure Begins

For your added comfort, a Meet and Greet assistant will welcome you upon your arrival at the airport. Your assistant will help to co-ordinate meeting up with your private driver at the airport, and accompany you to your hotel for check-in.

A Welcome Package will be provided and will include any relevant documents or tickets required for your trip.

Exploring Edinburgh’s exhilarating Royal Mile is your best way to get acquainted with the city’s Old Town. Forming the main thoroughfare in Edinburgh’s Old Town, the Royal Mile is a series of connected cobblestone streets, spanning Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace. From eateries, tartan souvenir shops, historic landmarks, and an eclectic collection of museums, the Royal Mile has plenty to discover and offers something for everyone. Within your final trip documents, we’ll provide you with the best route for a self-guided discovery of The Royal Mile, covering all points of interests. From palaces to whisky shops, there’s so much to discover along this legendary path through Old Town.

DAY 2 – TUE, APR 15, 2025: EDINBURGH

Tee Time and a Little History

Meet your private guide at your hotel and depart on foot for a half-day walking tour through Scotland’s hilly capital, Edinburgh, founded over 1,200 years ago. You’ll also explore New Town, co-listed with the Old Town as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which features the famous Princes Street with its ornate 200-foot-high Scott Monument, along with historic Georgian and neo-classical architecture. Stroll the renowned Royal Mile in Old Town, book-ended by the 12th-century Edinburgh Castle at one end, and the 16th-century Holyrood Palace at the other, residence of the British monarch in Scotland. Spot the prominent St Giles’ Cathedral, a religious focal point for nearly 900 years. Pass the National Museum of Scotland and learn of the city’s hidden subterranean passages running below street level. Visit the iconic Edinburgh Castle, perched on Castle Rock with an imposing stance upon the historic old town below. Stroll the courtyard and learn about the historic royal residence from the outside before leaving your guide while you visit the inside of the castle, where you can see the lavish interiors, and even the Crown Jewels. 

Play one of the famous courses at Gullane today – beautifully situated alongside the East Lothain shore and near the historic Club House Pub where you may like to take your lunch. Gullane Golf Club offers championship quality links golf courses with dramatic views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and Fife. The three golf courses do not have names but simply numbers which reflect their age.  Gullane No. 1 has a long history of hosting international Championship golf events and is an Open Championship Qualifying course. The No. 1 Course will be hosting local final qualifying for the Open in 2013 when the Championship is played at Muirfield. Gullane No.2 has also been used for Open Championship Qualifying and the Seniors Open Amateur. Gullane No.3, whilst being the shortest of the three golf courses, still provides a stern challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Visitor tee times (subject to change) are: No. 1 Course: Weekdays – 10.30 to 12.00 and 14.30 to 16.00, Weekends – 10.56 and 11.04 and 14.56 to 15.28. No. 2 and No. 3 Courses: Weekdays and weekends – There are no time restrictions on these courses for visitors however fourballs are not allowed until 9.04am.

Stats: Gullane 1: 18 holes, par 71, yards: 6,548. Gullane 2: 18 holes, par 71, white yards: 6,385, yellow yards: 5,976. Gullane 3: 18 holes, par 68, yards: 5,259.

Meet your private driver and vehicle for a transfer to Gullane Golf Course. A return transfer to your hotel will be provided after your round of golf. Each transfer is approximately 45 minutes.

DAY 3 – WED, APR 16, 2025: EDINBURGH

In Good Spirits

Meet your private driver-guide and set out on a full day tour to celebrate some of the pillars of Scotland – castles and whisky! Admire the UNESCO-listed Forth Bridge over the Firth of Forth as you head north from Edinburgh, traveling through Stirlingshire where you’ll be regaled with history and lore of the famous warrior William Wallace, dramatized in the film Braveheart. On route, make a brief stop for a photo at The Kelpies, a pair of iconic steel horse-head sculptures that stand a massive 100 feet tall. Arriving to the city of Stirling, you’ll have an opportunity to see the towering Wallace Monument, overlooking the city below. While here, enjoy a visit of the remarkable 12th century Stirling Castle, with an imposing view of its own, perched atop Castle Hill. A former Scottish royal residence, it has survived at least 8 different sieges over its period of use. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic countryside drive to the small traditional malt whisky distillery of Glengoyne, where you’ll join a tour for a true taste of Scotland, sampling their whisky. Conclude on arrival back to Edinburgh.

DAY 4 – THU, APR 17, 2025: EDINBURGH TO ST ANDREWS

Hit the Greens

Meet your private driver and vehicle for a transfer to St. Andrews. Approximate travel time is 1.5 hours.

Unwind with a round of golf at the St. Andrews New Course. The oldest ‘new’ course in the world, the second course at the Home of Golf was built by the Keeper of the Green, Tom Morris, in 1895. Imaginatively named to differentiate from its famous neighbor, this stretch of green delivers a classic test. Boasting undulating fairways and difficult greens, the New Course aims to challenge your game.

DAY 5 – FRI, APR 18, 2025: ST ANDREWS

More than just a mecca for golf, St. Andrews is an ideal homebase for exploring Scotland’s hidden gems. Join your private driver-guide to savor a few quintessentially Scottish experiences in today’s memorable full-day adventure. Begin your day with a visit to Newton Farm to meet the friendly four-legged locals. Tour the working Angus farm, find out what daily life is like, and meet the region’s unofficial ambassador – the majestic Highland Cow. Next, make a stop at Glamis Castle, the ancestral seat of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne since 1372. Once host to Mary Queen of Scots, Glamis is said to have inspired one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, Macbeth. Marvel at the splendor within the castle walls and immerse yourself in six centuries of stories. Finally, make a stop at a local gin distillery to whet your whistle and see how the UK’s beloved libation is made. Savor a dram or a drink at the Gin Bothy or Persie Distillery, pending availability. Indulge in a light lunch before a private transfer whisks you back to your St. Andrews hotel.

DAY 6 – SAT, APR 19, 2025: ST ANDREWS TO CARNOUSTIE TO ST ANDREWS

Meet your private driver and vehicle for a transfer to Carnoustie Golf Club. A return transfer to your hotel will be provided after your round of golf. Each transfer is approximately a 1 hr drive.

Enjoy a round of golf at the historic Championship Course at Carnoustie Golf Links, renowned host of the Open Championship, and the annual pro-am Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Considered one of the most difficult courses in the British Isles, and even the world, a day on the Championship Course is sure to dazzle the avid golfer.

Stats: 18 holes, par 72, yards 6,941. Handicap limit for Men is 28 and for Ladies 36.

DAY 7 – SUN, APR 20, 2025: ST ANDREWS TO LOCH LOMOND

Set out with your private driver-guide on a journey to the shores of Loch Lomond, taking some time to explore some of Scotland’s history along the way. Along the route, make a stop to explore the impressive Stirling Castle. Its commanding position on a lofty volcanic rock rivals the grandeur of Edinburgh Castle, making it visible for miles in every direction. Visit the renowned William Wallace Monument, a prominent Stirling landmark situated above the fields where William Wallace achieved victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge. Discover the tale of this patriot and martyr, Scotland’s National Hero, and admire the ancient broadsword. Proceed to the picturesque Glengoyne Distillery, often hailed as “Scotland’s Most Beautiful Distillery,” for a distinctive whisky tasting experience. Finally, continue your journey to reach your accommodation in Loch Lomond.

The challenging layout features undulating fairways, inland lagoons, and panoramic views of the Loch and mountains.
